It’s easy to stop. It’s “safe” to stop. Sometimes we trick ourselves into thinking it’s safe. When in reality, it can be toxic and eventually turn into a bad habit. Pressure can be an ally, but only when it can be tamed and received healthily. It’s also easy to convince ourselves that we cannot control pressure, that it is entirely from an external source outside of our control. We must step back a bit, breath, and truly take inventory of what is going on and reflect on these “external” sources. You’ll be surprised by how many of these sources come from within yourself.
