One Mouse And Keyboard To Rule Them All

A few years ago, my workstation a.k.a. my command center consisted of 3 computers. My main PC, my server running on Linux, and a test bench PC. So I had a total of 3 monitors. I thought of getting a KVM switch to reduce having 3 sets of mouse and keyboards until I came across a software solution  – Synergy!

Synergy combines your desktop devices together into one cohesive experience. It’s software for sharing your mouse and keyboard between multiple computers on your desk. Works on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Raspberry Pi. Unlike a KVM switch, Synergy is a software download that doesn’t require special hardware (only existing WiFi or Ethernet), and you don’t need to press any buttons to switch your mouse and keyboard between computers. – Symless

Cost: $29 for the basic edition, $39 for the pro edition, last time I checked. One-time payment. Lifetime download access.
