I have relatives who live in the UK and I try to call them whenever I can. However there was one time an uncle of mine asked me how could the call me. It’s pretty simple and you just need to know “Exit Code” and “Country Code” and your good to go.
00 – Exit code when making an international call from United Kingdom
1 – US country code for inbound calls
So the International dialing code format would be:
00 + 1 + City Code (a.k.a. Area Code) + Local Number
Good luck and remember to mind your time zones, the last thing you want to do is call when it’s 3am on the receiver’s side!
