Recover With Grace

by | Nov 20, 2020 | Thoughts | 0 comments

It is natural to respond based on emotions; it’s what makes us human. We react and respond to everything, where even doing nothing is a response. We have no control over external forces, such as everything but ourselves; remember that we have more power over those external forces than we think. We can choose to react and leave it and hope that it left behind positive energy instead of negative energy or guarantee that we left behind something positive. Reacting is easy. Responding with a positive output is not, mostly when what you’re reacting to was negative. Creating a positive reaction is challenging and requires one to detach themselves from emotionally driven responses. Creating a positive experience after negatively reacting is tricky and requires an enormous amount of self-control and the ability to eliminate one’s ego. If you can navigate the complexities of responding negatively and dodge the trappings of mindless reactions, you can recover with grace.
