A Tribute To Charmian Carr

Chairman Carr passed away on September 17, 2016. I will always remember the countless times I watched The Sound of Music with my parents and siblings in the living room during the 90s. Even though the movie was a classic at that time, I always had the feeling that it was made maybe in the 80’s – that’s how well made this movie was. Beautiful scenery, music and singing. The cast was amazing and Julie Andrews nailed her part. As a kid just about to turn into a teenager I really felt immersed with the whole story and that special scene where Chairman Carr sings “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” with Daniel Truhitte will always hold a special place in my heart.

Chaimann Carr owned and operated an interior design firm (Michael Jackson was one her clients!), got married, had kids and lived life.

Thank you for giving us The Sound of Music.
