Enjoying the Moment

Not every experience is going to be pleasant. There will be bad ones, sad ones, happy ones, and all sorts. One thing that we should realize with any experience is that it’s unfolding in real-time, it would be a shame to waste it by not being present. By consuming yourself with the future, whether it be a deadline lingering in your head while playing with your kids, or perhaps thoughts of leisure while you work, you cheat yourself and others from that moment. Whatever the distraction, they remove you from where you physically are, and when your thoughts aren’t one with the experience, you aren’t enjoying the moment. You’re partially there, and not getting the full potential of the experience. Be here and do.
