So there’s this guy who goes by the name of Hashi, who has two amazing kids named James and Sophia. Like many parents, Hashi records his kids to capture moments. Hashi, however, does something cool in addition to recording the videos. He takes them into Adobe After Effects with a few third-party plugins and takes them to the next level capturing what a kid must be thinking when they’re jumping from one chair to another, pretending that the floor is lava! You know we’ve all played that game before.
Here’s Volume 1 of Action Movie Kid, a compilation of Hashi’s edits early on. There’s seven volumes total, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. He has tons of short edited clips ranging from his kid’s pretending to be Spiderman to doing Harry Potter magic. The videos are fantastic, and my kids love watching them.
